Balduvian Bears is a Coldwave/Post-Punk project by artist and producer Zachary Anderson, curated beneath the towering peaks of Salt Lake City, Utah. The project blends introspection, melancholy, and examination of the human condition. Melodically borrowing influence from 1980s Synth-Pop, New Wave, and Indie Rock. Balduvian Bears serves as Anderson’s record of memories and experience, focusing on themes of Love, Pain, connection, and Addiction.

​Live, the project is introduced as a three-piece, alongside Aaron Valentine (keys/backing vocals) and Will Holmes (Bass Guitar/Synth). Balduvian Bears delivers an emotionally visceral, energetic performance, both visually and sonically. Anderson expresses deep love and reverence for the live environment, viewing it as a sacred, direct channel of human connection and community. The project prides itself on creating a captivating, authentic, and undeniable experience.

Since the project's conception in late 2023, Balduvian Bears have created a buzz in the Post-Punk and Darkwave ethos. They embarked on their first regional mini tour through the Southwest, made their European debut at Wave Gotik Treffen in 2025, and packed out rooms across the West Coast, Phoenix, and Las Vegas on their 2026 headlining tour. Balduvian Bears have built an intimate yet dedicated fan base through their diverse and unmistakable sound.
